Everything that moves on a garage door
Repairs, replacements and new installations
One crew for the whole door: the springs that carry the weight, the cables and track that guide it, the opener that drives it, and the door itself.

What happens when you ring us
- You describe the doorTell us what it's doing — heavy, stuck, screeching, hanging crooked. Most faults we can name from that alone.
- We quote a flat priceA number, not a range, and not an hourly rate that starts ticking in your driveway.
- A tech arrives with partsSprings, cables, rollers, hinges and opener parts ride on the truck, so most jobs finish on the first visit.
- We test before we leaveFull cycle, balance check and safety reverse test, then we show you the manual release.
Why people call us back
A garage door company that quotes a number, not a range
Most garage door calls arrive at a bad moment. The car is inside, someone is late, and the person on the phone is being asked to trust a stranger with a price. We took the guesswork out of that part: tell us what the door is doing and we quote a flat figure before anyone gets in a truck. That figure doesn't change because it turned out to be a Saturday.
Paul's Garage Door Inc has worked Idaho doors since 2004, from single-car garages in Boise subdivisions to dock doors on the Magic Valley farm roads and rolling steel in Coeur d'Alene shops. The failures repeat: torsion springs, lift cables, opener drive gears, doors dragged off track. We stock all of it, which is why most jobs finish on the first visit instead of the second.
And when a door is genuinely past repair, we say so and show you both numbers. We would rather lose a repair than sell you three of them.

What Idaho customers say
★★★★★
Middle of January, twelve degrees, and he was out on the driveway getting my door working. Didn't complain once.
Ford H. · Twin Falls, ID
★★★★★
New insulated door on a 1970s garage. The difference in temperature out there is genuinely ridiculous. Should have done it years ago.
Gordon M. · Coeur d'Alene, ID
★★★★★
Warehouse door failed with a truck half-loaded. He rearranged to get to us that afternoon.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
Can you install a garage door opener I bought myself?
Yes. We'll fit a customer-supplied opener, though we'll check first that it's rated for your door's weight and height — an underpowered unit on a heavy insulated door is a short-lived opener.
Can you repair my door or do I need a new one?
Most doors can be repaired, and we'd rather fix yours than sell you one. The line we use: if the repair costs more than about half a new door, or you've paid for three repairs in two years, replacement is the cheaper road. We'll quote both and let you choose.
Do you charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay whether it's Tuesday lunchtime or two o'clock on Christmas morning. We don't run an overtime rate.
How long does a spring replacement take?
Usually under an hour and a half for a standard two-car door, including winding the new springs, re-setting the cable drums and balancing the door. We replace springs in pairs, so you're not back here in three months for the second one.
My spring broke — can I still use the door?
Don't. With a broken spring the opener is trying to lift the door's full weight on its own, which burns out the motor and shreds cables. Leave the door down, leave the opener alone and call us. If the door is up, don't stand or park underneath it.
What areas around Idaho do you cover?
Idaho itself plus the surrounding towns across Idaho. If you're within driving distance and you're not sure, call (888) 904-6236 and ask — we cover a wide stretch of Idaho.
Which garage door and opener brands do you service?
All the common ones. Doors from Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Overhead Door, Raynor, C.H.I. and Haas, and openers from LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Linear, Marantec and Overhead Door.
How fast can you get to Idaho?
Most days we can reach a Idaho address the same day, and often within a few hours. Genuine emergencies — a door jammed open, a car trapped, storm damage — go to the front of the queue day or night. Call (888) 904-6236 and we'll give you a real time window rather than an all-day one.
Broken door? Get a flat price in one call.
We answer around the clock and we don't charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays.
